Join our mission to drive meaningful change in government operations! Position Overview: We are seeking a Principal Cyber Defense Engineer to spearhead technical initiatives in cybersecurity. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with federal law enforcement clients to enhance their cybersecurity frameworks, ensuring they are resilient and effective. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, implementation, and management of cutting-edge cybersecurity systems. Engage in hands-on technical tasks, including system configuration, integration, and optimization. Participate in incident response, focusing on threat hunting, forensic analysis, and remediation efforts. Develop and execute comprehensive cybersecurity strategies to bolster security measures. Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential security risks. Collaborate with technical teams to create and implement tailored cybersecurity solutions. Stay informed on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies, applying that knowledge to enhance our security posture. Offer technical expertise on cybersecurity best practices and policies. Ensure adherence to applicable federal regulations and standards. Prepare and deliver technical reports and documentation to stakeholders and clients. Required Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a cybersecurity role with hands-on technical experience. Experience leading technical teams effectively. Proven design and engineering experience with multiple cybersecurity tools and technologies, including but not limited to firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, SIEM, SOAR, network security monitoring, network micro-segmentation, SASE, and CNAPP. Proficiency in scripting and automation languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash. Experience with forensic tools and incident response methodologies. Active Secret Clearance is required. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree is a plus. Relevant certifications, including CISSP, SANS Defensive Certifications, CISM, OSCP, or equivalent. Accenture Federal Services offers competitive compensation ranging from $84,900 to $221,100, depending on various factors such as role, location, skills, and experience.
