As a Water and Wastewater Engineer, you will have the opportunity to engage in various projects related to water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater treatment. Are you ready to elevate your career? Join us and lead the planning and design of vital water-related systems while supporting complex national projects. As a valued team member, your responsibilities will include: Collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team on water, wastewater, and water resources design projects. Conducting preliminary engineering through data analysis, calculations, and option evaluations to develop optimal solutions. Planning and designing projects in accordance with industry standards using advanced design software. Independently making improvements to standard techniques, procedures, and systems to meet project objectives efficiently. Performing technical writing, review, and providing clear insights for reports and investigations. Preparing and modifying drawings and specifications based on feedback and revisions. Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and company offices effectively. Reviewing the work of peers for quality and completeness. Participating in project meetings and collaborating with team members, clients, and stakeholders. Mentoring and supporting junior staff within the water group. Engaging in professional organizations to enhance the Jacobs brand and network within the industry. Possibly supervising project engineers as a task manager on larger projects or managing smaller projects. To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering. The ability to manage time effectively while completing tasks accurately and on schedule. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). A desire to work with design tools such as ESRI ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software. Applied knowledge of fundamental engineering principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. Familiarity with local and state design codes and standards. Considerable professional experience in water/wastewater/stormwater engineering. Preferably, you will also possess: A Master's degree in Civil, Water Resources, or Environmental Engineering. A PE license or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire. Experience in project or task management. A background in water resources, hydraulics, fluid mechanics, or hydrology.
