Electrical Maintenance Technician Weir ESCO Newton, MS Night Shift: 5 PM - 5 AM ($3.50 Shift Premium) Rotating Schedule (3 days on, 1 off, 3 days on, 1 off, etc) Week One - 3 x 12 Hour Shifts Week Two - 4 x 12 Hour Shifts What we do at Weir We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. What you'll do Electrical Maintenance: Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on industrial electrical systems including motors, relays, starters, variable frequency drives, and electrical panels up to 600V. Mechanical Support: Apply working knowledge of mechanical systems to support maintenance activities ensuring overall equipment reliability. Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and relay logic diagrams to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. Automation Systems: Work with building automation systems and PLCs to maintain and optimize plant operations. Daily Operations: Under limited supervision, maintain plant equipment in good electrical repair, ensuring minimal downtime and operational efficiency. Success Metrics: Success will be measured by the ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues, maintain high equipment uptime, and contribute to a safe working environment. What you'll bring Must-haves: 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience with strong electrical troubleshooting skills. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and relay logic. Experience with motors, relays, starters, variable frequency drives, and electrical panels up to 600V. Working knowledge of mechanical systems and preventative maintenance practices. Nice-to-haves: Experience with PLCs and building automation systems. Familiarity with relay logic and advanced electrical repair techniques. Ability to work independently with minimal technical guidance. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Why join Weir?
