Job Description: We are looking for skilled Cost Estimators to join our team, playing a vital role in preparing and analyzing cost estimates for Federal construction projects. This is a great opportunity to engage with both vertical and horizontal construction projects, ensuring that cost assessments are accurate, compliant with Federal standards, and aligned with project objectives. Key Responsibilities: Prepare comprehensive and project-specific cost estimates using industry-standard tools, including MII (MCACES II), PACES, RSMeans, and Success Estimator. Review contractor cost proposals, bids, and change orders for accuracy and compliance with FAR, DFARS, Davis-Bacon, and Federal regulations. Interpret design documents to develop cost estimates at various project stages. Apply Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and relevant codes to produce compliant and practical cost estimates. Establish and maintain pricing databases to improve estimating accuracy and reliability. Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and contracting officers to align cost estimates with project scope and requirements. Identify opportunities for cost savings through value engineering and evaluate alternative methods or materials. Prepare detailed cost analyses and justifications for government review. Assess risks and contingency needs based on project complexity and market conditions. Assist in budget development and prepare independent government estimates (IGEs). Participate in pre-bid meetings and design reviews to enhance project outcomes. Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS). Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree required; equivalent experience may also be considered. At least 5 years of relevant experience in cost estimating. Must be a U.S. citizen and pass federal background checks. Willingness to undertake domestic and/or international travel as required by project demands. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with large Federal construction quality programs. Certifications such as Certified Cost Engineer (CCE), Certified Cost Consultant (CCC), or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) are advantageous.
