Work Schedule: We offer flexible shifts for both full-time and part-time roles between 5:30 AM and 9:00 PM. Availability during these hours is essential, and weekend shifts will be assigned on a rotating schedule. We seek team members who can adapt to various schedules to meet our operational needs. About BioLife Plasma Services Each day, you will be inspired by the donors you meet, as the high-quality plasma you collect will turn into life-saving medications. A strong commitment to customer service and quality is vital. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and function as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse), aiding in the smooth running of plasma center operations. BioLife Plasma Services operates as a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. About the Role: Every day, the motivational donors you encounter will drive your commitment. You will assess donor eligibility, manage adverse events, review laboratory results, and inform donors of test outcomes. The Medical Support Specialist operates under the direction of the Center Manager and the Center Physician for medical matters. Knowledge of plasma collection industry regulations is essential. You will also support environmental health and safety protocols within the center. Your Key Contributions Include: Determining donor eligibility, including informed consent and medical history interviews. Evaluating donor reactions following established protocols and managing medical emergencies as they arise. Consulting with the Center Physician regarding any unacceptable findings to ensure donor safety and eligibility. Supporting mandatory vaccination programs for employees, as necessary. Managing employee incidents and coordinating referrals to occupational health services as needed. Qualifications You Bring to Takeda: High school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate equivalent from an accredited nursing program. Active EMT-Paramedic licensure in the state of employment. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy. Successful completion of the FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Location: USA - WI - Milwaukee U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $25.00 - $34.38 This wage range reflects the anticipated compensation for this position, dependent on various factors such as qualifications, experience, skills, education, and location. Final offers will comply with local wage regulations.
