Your Role Plan your day, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with your team to ensure freight moves safely and punctually. Accurately manage all necessary paperwork and electronic logs while adhering to DOT, state, and company regulations. Safely operate your tractor-trailer, conducting inspections before, during, and after trips to keep your vehicle in prime condition. Utilize optimized routes, following traffic laws and local regulations to minimize delays and enhance delivery performance. Maintain Walmart's high standards of safety, integrity, and professionalism at all times. Minimum Qualifications Must possess an Interstate (Class A) Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat endorsement (or be able to obtain it within 120 days of hire). A minimum of 30 months of experience driving a full-time Class A tractor/trailer within the past 3 years. No more than two moving violations in the last three years. No serious traffic violations in the last three years. No preventable accidents in the last three years. No preventable DOT recordable accidents in the last ten years. No preventable accidents resulting in fatalities or catastrophic injuries on driving history. Must reside within 250 miles of the assigned facility or establish residency within 90 days from the hire date. The evaluations of accident preventability will be handled according to the ATA Guidelines. For certain activities, drivers receive the mileage rate plus activity pay; other activities may have only activity pay. In certain scenarios, drivers also receive Average Daily Pay (ADP). For this role, the mileage rate is between $0.55 and $0.69 per mile, with average yearly miles ranging from 62,355 to 196,040. This is informational only. Actual pay may vary by location and total miles driven. Drivers also receive both activity pay and mileage rate for various tasks, while certain activities qualify for only activity pay. ADP is available for circumstances like PTO, safety days, holidays, and jury duty. ADP is set at $240 per day. Minimum Qualifications Recap Please review the essential qualifications below.
