The Data Warehouse Engineering Lead will be at the forefront of advancing WelbeHealth's data warehouse architecture on Databricks and Azure. This key position will drive scalable analytics across the organization. We seek a candidate with strong expertise in Databricks, Azure Data Services, DevSecOps, and CI/CD automation, alongside a proven history of building secure and compliant data architectures in healthcare environments. This role combines data architecture, team mentorship, and fosters an innovative, collaborative engineering culture that embraces automation and emerging AI technologies. What makes this role unique: Design and secure the foundational data architecture that enhances care delivery for vulnerable seniors, creating a compliant, AI-enabled Databricks/Azure lakehouse that translates clinical, operational, and regulatory data into actionable insights. Function as a hands-on technical leader who merges data architecture expertise with DevSecOps and healthcare compliance, scaling a secure data platform while mentoring an innovative engineering team. Architect and manage scalable data warehouse and lakehouse solutions on Databricks and Azure, prioritizing security and compliance with healthcare regulations. Explore and implement AI and machine learning technologies within Databricks and Azure to optimize data processes and enhance analytics capabilities. Integrate DevSecOps principles, ensuring security, compliance, and automation throughout the development lifecycle. Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and consistency across data engineering workflows. Enhance automation in data processing, transformation, and quality frameworks for robust and scalable data processes. Collaborate with Analytics, IT, and business partners to implement secure, efficient, and compliant data warehouse solutions that fulfill organizational data requirements, while overseeing data modeling, integration, governance, and quality frameworks. Job Requirements: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, or related field Minimum of seven years in data engineering or data warehouse architecture, with at least three years in a leadership role Two years of supervisory experience with a proven ability to mentor team members Extensive knowledge of Databricks architecture, including Delta Lake, Apache Spark, and MLflow, with experience in complex data pipelines and transformations. Hands-on experience in architecting and deploying analytics and data infrastructure on Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, Azure SQL, Storage, etc.) Demonstrated expertise in implementing DevSecOps frameworks and governance in regulated settings, preferably in healthcare Strong understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and automation tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps Experience in integrating AI and machine learning capabilities to improve data workflows and analytics If you are ready to lead hands-on architecture, mentor talented engineers, and build the modern data foundation that enhances care for vulnerable seniors, we encourage you to apply. The salary range for this position is $132,181 - $174,478 per year + bonus.
