Job Details Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) / Travel Nurse / ED Nurse Location: Easton, Maryland (21601) — Maryland Eastern Shore travel nursing job Assignment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: April 6, 2026 Estimated Weekly Salary: $2000–$2110/week Shifts: Rotating night/evening shifts (primary need: night) 3x12-hour (19:00–07:30 or 15:00–03:30) 4x12-hour shifts also accepted Hours per Week: 36–48 (based on shift selection) Patient Population: All ages (infant to geriatric) — ED/acute care Unit: Emergency Department (ED) / Emergency Room (ER) Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and as scheduled Floating: Required within ED specialty and to sister ED facilities as needed Required Qualifications (Emergency Room / Travel Nurse) Minimum 2 years recent Emergency Room RN (ER RN / ED Nurse) experience Previous charge nurse experience required Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license (active at time of submission) BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only), NIHSS; CPI to be completed during onboarding NRP and TNCC preferred (trauma/ED certifications highly valued) Experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) preferred Community hospital ED experience required Ability to float within ED specialty and to sister facilities as needed Two professional references (one supervisor/manager and one charge RN) Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (travel nurse requirement) Core Responsibilities (Emergency Department Nurse / ER RN) Deliver safe, compassionate, high-quality care to ED patients of all ages in a fast-paced environment Assess, triage, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of acuity, including multisystem and critical care cases Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; respond to STEMI and stroke alerts in a certified facility Perform phlebotomy, start and maintain IVs, administer emergency medications and blood products Provide care for ventilated patients, manage central lines, and perform procedural sedation Manage BiPAP/CPAP therapy, interpret ABGs, and deliver advanced emergency interventions Apply isolation precautions and proper PPE; follow infection control standards Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, PT and social services Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Epic (EMR) and participate in clinical handoffs Float to other ED units within the health system as needed to support patient care Why Join This Travel Nursing Opportunity Work in a supportive, team-oriented Emergency Department at a community hospital Gain diverse ED experience across all age groups—excellent for career growth in emergency nursing and critical care Experience life on Maryland’s scenic Eastern Shore—historic Easton and easy access to the Chesapeake Bay Ready to take the next step in your travel nursing career?
