Laboratory Technician

Our client, a leader in food safety and microbiological testing, is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join their team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be part of the Microbiology Department supporting food safety and quality assurance efforts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and strong teamwork skills, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title: Laboratory TechnicianLocation: St Louis, MissouriPay Range: $20- $23 an hourly W2What's the Job? Carry out approved microbiological techniques and methodologies in a laboratory setting Prepare samples and perform analytical and microbial testing on food products, ingredients, and environmental samples Apply aseptic techniques to ensure sample integrity and accuracy Document sample preparation, quality control, and analytical activities meticulously Read and interpret testing results accurately, contributing to food safety assessments What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a Life Science field Knowledge of aseptic techniques and microbiological testing methods 1+ years of laboratory experience in a commercial food testing environment (desirable but not required) Understanding of ISO 17025 or GLPs (desirable but not required) Physical ability to perform tasks including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs and working in a fast-paced environment What's in it for me?
