Headquartered in Dalton, Ga., Shaw manufactures and distributes carpeting, rugs, hardwood, laminate and ceramic tile for residential and commercial applications worldwide.Position Overview:Keep creel racks full of yarn and yarn ends spliced together in the designated pattern allowing for efficient run ability of Warper. Burn-in yarn during a beam change as well as creeling yarn in order to keep machines in operation.Responsibilities:Keep creel racks full of yarn.Check labels on boxes of yarn and in cones of yarn against work order for quality purposes.Splice ends of yarn together.Pack yarn into boxes on cart when set is complete.Count number of cones in each box and make note of it on packaging label.Fill packaging label out completely.Push cart to pack out area.Pull yarn off beams and remove beam weights at the end of each set.Check beam placement in rack after lift truck places them.Use burn in machines or splicer to attach ends of yarn on beams to ends of yarn threaded through machine.Check knots and splices for durability.Creel yarn for all creel machines.Check yarn for correct color, pattern, and lotRun knots through machineCheck thread up on tufting machinesOther miscellaneous dutiesAssist in keeping work area clean.Primary backing changingsCreel in warping when necessaryPosition Requirements:Ability to carry out written and oral instructionsAbility to carry up to 25lbsMust be able to work 8-hour shiftsMust be able to work in a team environmentMission Statement: Great People.
