We are a values-driven organization guided by: Families First Integrity Always Pursuit of Excellence Making a Meaningful Difference Shaping the Future Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist / Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our Early Intervention (EI) team, serving families in Anthony, Santa Teresa, Chaparral, and Las Cruces, NM. In this role, the OT/COTA will provide direct therapeutic services to infants and toddlers enrolled in the New Mexico FIT Program, supporting developmental progress in children’s natural environments. The OT/COTA works partners and works closely with families and a transdisciplinary team to implement treatment strategies aligned with Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs). Key Responsibilities Implement OT treatment plans designed by the supervising OT to support IFSP goals and outcomes Provide face-to-face EI services and communicate effectively with families Promote independence in daily living activities through observation, problem-solving, and adaptive strategies Observe child responses to interventions and communicate progress and concerns to the supervising OT Attend Transdisciplinary Team Consultation Meetings (TTCM) and provide observation notes Maintain accurate and timely EI documentation in compliance with FIT program requirements Complete and submit Daily Notes, Delivered Service Logs, and monthly benchmarks Meet EI documentation and billing deadlines Provide quality documentation of services to the supervising OT Maintain compliance with all FIT program standards Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Degree from an accredited OT/COTA program Active New Mexico OT/COTA license Experience working with children preferred Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (for COTA) Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Strong communication, organization, and family-centered care skills Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance for home and community visits Benefits & Perks Sign-On Bonus Available Flexible scheduling options Opportunities for advancement Referral and recognition programs Full-Time Benefits Include: 401(k) with 4% employer match 100% employer-paid Basic Life Insurance Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Short- & Long-Term Disability Insurance Paid Time Off (including sick leave) Continuing Education Credits Professional Development Assistance Employee Assistance Program Physical Requirements This role requires the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical activities including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and navigating varied home and community environments.
