Packaging Lead Person Ashburn, GA This is a non-exempt level position. Initial schedule will be 4 on 2 off rotating with no Sundays. Eventually will move to 7 days a week rotating all 4 shifts and will include $1.50 more an hour shift differential. Must have open availability. Position Summary: Coachable, motivated individual with initiative to continuously improve. Under limited supervision, lead a group colleagues to accomplish tasks in the Packaging Department. Job Responsibilities: 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Leadership and organizational skills (1-2 years in a leadership role preferred) Conducts job tasks with a positive, safe attitude and maintains a safe work record. Maintain a good attendance record. Work rotating shifts of various lengths including weekends and holidays Maintain good communication with all plant personnel. (Other shifts, departments and managers) Maintain production rates Ability to understand and perform assigned job tasks easily and independently while flexible enough to work in team settings. Maintains good housekeeping and ensures that required sanitation duties and paperwork are completed as required. Conducts daily inspections, reporting any problems noted. Continuously monitors and adjusts equipment for optimal performance and quality Review quality control documents and make necessary adjustments Perform Food Safety/HACCP/Quality Control checks and document Complete assigned paperwork accurately Perform maintenance and sanitation on machines as required May perform other duties as assigned.
