Confidential Assistant To The Economic Stability Manager The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana. In this dynamic position, you'll serve as a confidential assistant to the Economic Stability Manager while helping keep operations running smoothly for critical programs like SNAP. Three years of experience in administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. Job duties include serving as a confidential assistant to the Economic Stability Manager, responding to agency and individual inquiries regarding SNAP policies and procedures, handling telephone inquiries, screening calls, routing requests, and managing correspondence. Other duties include preparing, composing, reviewing, proofreading, and editing official correspondence, handouts, reports, and meeting materials; maintaining calendars, schedules, shared directories, and pending files; receiving, distributing, and preparing incoming and outgoing mail; coordinating logistics for meetings, workshops, and conference calls, and preparing agendas, materials, and binders; creating and maintaining comprehensive office filing systems for the unit; serving as liaison with Telecommunications for repairs, additions, and resolving equipment or billing issues; and acting as Property Control Manager, maintaining inventory records.
