Program Manager The MS operations are located at six major sites in the continental United States: Atlanta, GA; Canandaigua, NY; Fort Riley and Topeka, KS; Hot Springs, SD, and Waco, TX. MS employs more than 1,700 employees, performing a range of functions for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). The funding level is approximately $350M annually, in three major programs: Medical Services, Medical Support and Compliance, and Medical Facilities. The incumbent serves as a Program Management Officer within the Member Services (MS) and provides executive level support to the Executive Director by providing oversight and guidance to projects of high importance within MS. The incumbent collaborates with senior officials within MS, VHA Office of Finance, VHA Office of Policy and Planning, VHA Office of Health Information (OH1), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Department of Defense (DoD), Office of Inspector General (01G), VA Office of Information and Technology (01&T), Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs), and other key stakeholders and local medical facility leadership to achieve VA goals. The incumbent is responsible for project prioritization, the development of strategies to support VHA Mission, customer objectives, and effective management of VA health care. The incumbent plans and implements large scale emerging national programs and their supporting applications. The incumbent has director supervisory and leadership responsibility for the following Business Support Office service lines: Training and Quality Management (TQM), Knowledge Management (KM), Communications (Comms), and Systems Management (SM). For a GS-15 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-14. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
