Job Details Job Title: Travel RN, Med/Surg Telemetry, Night Shift Location: Columbus, Ohio (zip 43210) — Columbus healthcare and Ohio nursing jobs Unit: Ross Float Pool, Medical Surgical (Med/Surg Tele) Contract Type: Travel nursing contract Shift: Nights, 3 x 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026) Orientation: 24 hours Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,940–$2,040 Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience; prior travel RN experience preferred Current Registered Nurse license: compact or Ohio state RN license required Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program BCLS certification required Proficient in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and management of central/PICC lines Experience with EPIC electronic health records (EHR) preferred Comfortable with patient ratios of 1:4-5 on Med/Surg Telemetry Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and attention to detail Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or formal leadership role Seasonal flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed within the Ross Float Pool Work scheduled weekdays, weekends, and holidays as part of Night Shift RN responsibilities (minimum of 4 weekend shifts required per 4 week schedule) Respond with rapid response/code teams for acute events and manage diverse patient diagnoses Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and care for central and PICC lines Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, arterial blood gases (ABGs), and cardiac drips (no titration) Care for patients with spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, orthopedic trauma, and total joint replacements Administer blood products, manage feeding tubes, and provide pre/post hemodialysis care Maintain isolation precautions, PPE use, and perform wound care including wound vac procedures Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and case management Ready to take the next step in your travel nursing career?
