Emergency Medicine Physician

Job Title: Internal Medicine Physician (Board Certified / Board Eligible) Location: Augusta, GA 30904 Schedule: Monday Friday Hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM Position Overview We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to provide comprehensive primary care services. The physician will diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions, coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, and support preventive healthcare initiatives. Key Responsibilities Primary Care Services - Provide comprehensive primary care, including preventive, acute, and chronic disease management. - Perform preventive health screenings, immunizations, and lifestyle counseling. - Manage chronic conditions such as: o Diabetes o Hypertension o COPD o Heart disease - Evaluate and treat acute medical conditions. Mental Health Screening - Conduct routine screenings for: o Depression o PTSD o Substance use disorders - Provide referrals when necessary. Care Coordination - Collaborate with specialists, mental health providers, social workers, and pharmacists. - Manage referrals, consultations, and follow-up care to ensure continuity of care. Qualifications - Must hold a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. state or territory. - Candidates with restricted, suspended, revoked, or surrendered licenses will not be considered. Board Certification - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine required. Skills & Competencies - Strong clinical skills in primary care and internal medicine. - Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written). - Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
