We provide customers leading edge support from prototype to production. Summary Of Position The business manager will manage day-to-day operations for a critical FMI business unit. They will develop and implement a variety of strategies to maximize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction while maintaining world class quality performance. They will provide oversight and guidance to team members, follow up on projects assigned to staff and interact with the customer on key initiatives. Essential Duties Perform activities by understanding customer needs, analyzing data, and recommending data driven solutions that benefit both the company and our customer. Work effectively as a liaison between internal teams in multiple locations to ensure high-priority customer needs are being met. Partner with the customer to establish clear business goals, timelines, priorities, and metrics of success. Serve as the primary point of escalation for critical customer issues. Identify challenges and provide relevant information and action plans to both internal and external customers. Provide accurate demand visibility to fulfill operations planning and execution (capacity, materials, and resources). Drive development of detailed, achievable production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company's productive capacity. Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, company policy and accepted safe work practices. Implement the company's environmental, health and safety programs in all departments/units within their respective operations. Basic knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001), environmental management systems (ISO 14001), and occupational health and safety management systems (ISO 45001) as applicable. Executes necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with company, OSHA, and other standards and regulations. Ensures thorough root cause investigations for all injuries and incidents, following-up with consistent discipline and retraining. Education And/Or Experience Required Bachelor's degree or 7-10 years of management/manufacturing/planning experience. Ability to prioritize, multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced self-directed environment, proactive and self-motivated, goal oriented and data driven. Strong and effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with executive level reporting. Effective organization, planning, and problem-solving skills. Experience with project management, customer success, and/or customer service. Highly organized with exceptional follow-through abilities. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage customer relationships. Working knowledge and use of MRP, inventory control, production scheduling, and capacity planning tools. Ability to hold self (and others) accountable to meet commitments. Strong commitment to ensuring customers' business objectives are achieved.
