Supervisor Project Support The Supervisor Project Support oversees the daily activities, performance, and development of the Project Support team while continuing to carry out various supportive duties for project account managers and customers. This role combines hands-on project support with leadership, coaching, and operational oversight. Projects may include power distribution systems, substations, transmission, and utility-scale wind and/or solar energy. Responsibilities Essential Functions Provides daily direction, coaching, and workload assignment to Project Support Specialists and Senior Project Support Specialists to ensure timely and accurate completion of quotes, orders, and customer requests. Monitors team performance, identifies skill gaps, and conducts ongoing feedback, training, and development to strengthen capabilities. Ensures a balanced workload across the team and reallocates work as needed to meet deadlines and service expectations. Serves as the primary escalation point for customer, vendor, or order-related issues that exceed staff authority or require advanced technical judgement. Conducts final review and approval of quotes, order packets, or bills of material (BOM)-related documentation prepared by team members to ensure accuracy, completeness, and risk mitigation. Holds accountability for team throughout accuracy, error rates, and cycle time; monitors key performance indicators and drives improvements where needed. Partners with management to implement policies, procedures, and continuous improvements within the department. Prepares and reviews proposals based on BOM, secures vendor pricing, and provides competitive and accurate pricing to customers. Coordinates material purchasing, deliveries, and logistics to ensure project timelines and specifications are met. Identifies alternate product solutions to meet requirements for cost, lead time, or performance. Provides high-level technical support to customers and staff, leveraging advanced knowledge of electrical products, specifications, and applications. Serves as a temporary backup during staff absences to maintain continuity of communication and service. Builds and maintains trusted relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams through proactive communication and responsiveness. Escalates and resolves complex project or order issues requiring advanced judgment or vendor intervention. Participates in customer project management discussions to ensure alignment, issue resolution, and planning support. Performs light vendor negotiation for improved pricing and delivery options when necessary. Non-essential Functions Assists with vendor negotiations for best pricing and delivery of products to customers and/or jobsites. Supports customer meetings, training sessions, and trade shows as needed. Documents missed opportunities. Participates in cross-functional tasks such as estimating, procurement, staging, kitting, material management, or project closeout. Contacts vendors for pricing, as needed. Attends training programs, as required. Writes orders in SAP and delivers material. Other duties as assigned by supervisor or designate. Qualifications Minimum of a business or trade degree preferred or the equivalent in work experience. 4+ years of prior customer service, quotation, or sales experience. Requires the ability to read, write and speak in English. Strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint), internet, email, and SAP software. Skills and Abilities Strong technical ability to interpret specifications, drawings, and electrical system requirements.
