Administrative Coordinator 4 To perform complex, often specialized, paraprofessional duties that require independent judgment to accomplish in support of the staff members and/or operations of an organizational unit or program. Work requires individual discretion in the application of policies and procedures. Duties increase in scope and complexity, and consist mainly of departmental-program duties. Advanced level of work with general supervision from higher-level clerical and/or supervisory personnel. May supervise 1-2 lower-level personnel. Core competencies include accepting direction, communicating effectively, displaying expertise, following policies and procedures, making accurate judgments, managing resources, and using data. Examples of work include performing responsible departmental-program duties, serving as liaison between departments and customers, receiving and reviewing applications, preparing requisitions for supplies, compiling and formatting reports, and assisting managers with administrative tasks. Minimum qualifications include three years of experience in administrative services. Experience substitution is available. Competencies include accepting direction, communicating effectively, demonstrating accountability, focusing on customers, following policies and procedures, and the state civil service rules.
