Inspector

Inspector We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Inspector to support inbound material operations. The Inspector is responsible for the inspection and grading of inbound materials, ensuring efficient traffic flow within the yard, and coordinating with crane operators to maintain operational productivity. This role serves as the primary point of contact for incoming drivers and customers and is expected to represent the company with professionalism and a commitment to service excellence. This position offers a clear pathway for advancement. Team members may begin in a production role and receive comprehensive, hands-on training to transition into the Inspector role. Key responsibilities include: Inspect inbound loads for compliance and accurate grading. Deliver courteous and professional experience to all drivers and customers. Accurately document inspection results. Collaborate with crane and loader operators to ensure efficient traffic flow. Conduct inspections for non-conforming items (e.g., mercury switches, ballasts). Troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime. Support continuous improvement initiatives and monitor performance metrics. Adhere to all safety protocols and consistently wear required PPE. Assist with additional duties as assigned. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a proactive approach to work, a strong commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn and grow. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and prior experience in metals or industrial operations is advantageous. Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude are essential.
