We are seeking a Permanent Neonatologist in Kansas. Permanent Neonatologist Position Type: Permanent Placement Specialty: Physician - Neonatology Location: Wichita, KS Rate: Open & Negotiable Shift: Combination of 8-hour and 24-hour shifts on a 7-week rotating schedule Start Date: TBD End Date: N/A Position Details:Patient Population: NeonatalSetting: Level-III, 60-bed NICUResponsibilities:Provide in-house neonatal care and backup call from homeParticipate in a well-established, 8-physician practiceManage a high-volume unit with approximately 6,000 deliveries per yearConduct admissions and oversee an average daily census of 54 patientsPerform neonatal procedures except ECMO and heart surgeryCollaborate with residents and nurse practitionersEngage in QI and research opportunities through affiliation with KU School of Medicine WichitaRequired Procedures: Neonatal critical care managementEMR System: Not specifiedSupport Staff: Residents, nurse practitioners, and a multidisciplinary teamDays Per Month: Approximately 170 hours per month of in-house coverageOn-Call/Weekends: In-house call and backup call from home Submission Requirements:Required:Board Certified in PediatricsBoard Eligible (within 5 years of fellowship) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal MedicineFellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (must be completed before start date)Kansas medical license (or willingness to obtain)Preferred:Clean malpractice and license historyVisa Support: Open to J1 & H1B candidates Join us today!
