Facilities Security Officer - FSO Headquarters Virginia Beach, VA 23451 Global Technical Systems (GTS) provides innovative, cost-effective, high-tech engineering products and product-based services encompassing latest generation software and hardware solutions and engineering services for defense, homeland security, and other critical Government interests. GTS products and services span a spectrum that includes mission-critical combat systems processors; C4ISR; technology development including threat detection, biometric identification systems, and composite applications for munitions, armor and energy storage; avionics test systems; and lifecycle logistics support and repair. Our Headquarters office in Virginia Beach, VA is searching for a Facilities Security Officer to work in-person at 421 South Birdneck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23451. Facilities Security Officer - FSO Virginia Beach, VA The HQ Facility Security Officer (FSO) is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the HQ cleared facility and has oversite of subordinate cleared facilities. The FSO implements requirements of the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM), Government security regulations, contractual security regulation and company policy and procedures. Oversight of and guidance to Safety Officer. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Timely processing of initial clearances and maintenance of current clearances, using Defense Information System for Security (DISS) Manage and maintain the company database in the National Industrial Security Systems (NISS) (a combination of the previous; Industrial Security Facility Database-ISFD and Electronic Facilities Clearance System- e-FCL systems) Conducts security briefings and administers effective security education program Investigates security incidents and violations Adheres to and enforces security policies and procedures for classification, downgrading, upgrading and safeguarding information at the local facility Deliver Foreign travel briefs and debriefs Ensure the company adheres to Visit Control Procedures Receives and creates Visit Authorization Request Monitor Perimeter control on a regular basis Participates in RMF processes for Assessment and Authorizations as program compliance necessitates Notifies and works with the appropriate Government entities, Defense Security Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation or local law enforcement as necessary Processes fingerprints to third party vendor Perform annual self-inspection and prepare for DSS Security Reviews Performs Additional security duties and responsibilities as assigned Ability to communicate will all levels of management Work Experience Requirements: 5 Years experience as a Facility Security Officer -Possessing Facility Facility Security Officer Orientation for Possessing Facilities Certificate of Completion Secret Clearance Establishing an Insider Threat Program Course Certificate of Completion U.S. Citizenship Required Educational Requirements: High School Diploma Working Conditions: This position operates in a professional office environment and typically works 40 hours weekly. In this position the employee routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, scan/fax machines. While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands and to reach with hands and arms. Work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment and light lifting less than 30 lbs. Essential Skills/Experience: Strong working knowledge of the NISPOM and aspects specific to the execution of the Industrial Security Program to include; personnel security, classified material/document control, classified, classified contract management, safeguarding, physical security, counterterrorism administrative inquiries etc. contract security classification specification (DD254) preparation, Managing the Insider Threat Program to include training and reporting Experience using DISS (JPAS) & NISS (ISFD & e-FCL), NCAISS, STEPP Working knowledge of DFARS 252.204-7012 and NIST 800-171 requirements and implementation methods Knowledge and compliance of SEAD 3 implementation Experience updating SPP as required and other documents as required Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Beneficial Skills/Experience: Top Secret Clearance preferred Experience with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Security processes a plus Experience as a COMSEC Custodian Knowledge or experience in setting up and managing Special Access Programs (SAP) The above Position Description is not intended to be, nor should it be construed as an all-encompassing list of responsibilities, skills, efforts or working conditions associated with this position.
