Salary for this position is $24.97/hour (non-negotiable) Class starts May 11th, 2026 Primary Purpose of Position Protect the health and welfare of the public by defending the station against any act of radiological sabotage, attack, or theft of special nuclear material. As specified by procedure and the site security plan, maintain a secure perimeter for site access and egress and employee, contractor and visitor entry. Perform search, patrol, and inspections in accordance with the Station Security Plan, procedures, and post orders. Primary Duties and Accountabilities Maintain qualifications for position Conduct patrols and inspections Monitor access to security areas Perform search activities Respond to threats and contingency events Perform equipment testing Act as a member of an Armed Response Force to provide physical protection of Constellation nuclear clean energy centers and evaluate adversarial actions to prevent intrusion and acts of sabotage. Conduct armed stationary, foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior). Control access and/or egress of personnel, materials and vehicles. Monitor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), plant surveillance equipment and alarm systems. Deter criminal activity, misconduct, and safety violations. Maintains and implements extensive NRC requirements and Federal/State Laws for site protection and protected area access control. Participate in initial and annual formal training program to complete class and field qualifications necessary to be an armed Nuclear Security Officer Responsible for accurate documentation and record keeping, as required by federal and corporate guidelines. Maintains thorough knowledge of plant to adequately initiate and maintain site defensive strategy All other job assignments and/or duties pursuant to company policy or as directed by management to include but not limited to: (Emergency Response duties and/or coverage, Department duty coverage and/or call out, and positions outside of department in support of outage activities etc.)
