Position: Patient Support Specialist Overview: We're looking for a customer-focused team member to support patient scheduling, phone coordination, and front-office operations within a healthcare setting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, managing multiple tasks, and working in a fast-paced clinic environment. Primary Responsibilities: Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls with patients, providers, and partner clinics (approximately 40-60 per day) Use internal scheduling software to book, update, and confirm patient appointments Support daily front-office functions, including greeting and rooming patients when needed Create and update patient records, including demographics, provider information, and insurance details Contact patients from call lists to arrange upcoming visits and follow-up appointments Coordinate scheduling across multiple clinic locations when patients require services elsewhere Monitor voicemail messages and ensure they are routed to the appropriate staff member Collaborate closely with teammates to maintain smooth clinic workflow and excellent patient service Qualifications: At least 6 months of office or customer service experience (healthcare background strongly preferred) Previous experience with clinic scheduling systems is a plus Highly organized, detail-oriented, professional, and patient-centered Comfortable managing a high call volume and multitasking efficiently Ability to remain calm and responsive in a fast-moving environment Familiarity with insurance requirements or third-party payer guidelines (Medicare, commercial plans, workers' comp) is beneficial High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred Additional Role Details Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Position Type: Contract-to-Hire Location: Maplewood - 100% onsite Compensation: $19-$21 per hour, based on experience All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
