Code Enforcement Officer I/II The City of Yuba City is currently recruiting for Code Enforcement Officer I/II. The Code Enforcement Officer position involves a range of public contact duties associated with the City's code compliance program. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Identifying, investigating, and correcting violations of City municipal, zoning, housing, development, and signage codes. Investigating citizen complaints regarding public nuisances, quality of life concerns, and health and safety issues. Seeking voluntary compliance or issuing citations when appropriate. Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: Code Enforcement Officer I/II: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade. Code Enforcement Officer I: Six (6) months of recent, full-time experience working with the public to communicate and/or enforce standards and expectations. Code Enforcement Officer II: Three (3) years of increasingly responsible code-enforcement experience equivalent to a Code Enforcement Officer I at the City of Yuba City. Licenses and Certifications: Possession of a valid California Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record, to be maintained throughout employment. Possession of, or successful acquisition within twelve (12) months of appointment, a Code Enforcement Officer Certificate issued by the California Association of Code Enforcement Officers, to be maintained throughout employment.
