The Role: The Director of Fleet and Transportation provides strategic and operational leadership for all logistics and transportation functions across C&S Chemicals. This role oversees the company's tanker truck fleet and related delivery assets, ensuring that all logistics operations are safe, compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with company objectives. The Director is responsible for driving fleet performance, P&L accountability, and strategic planning to maximize asset utilization, control costs, and strengthen the company's logistics capabilities. This includes developing long-term fleet acquisition and retirement strategies, optimizing routing and delivery operations, and ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. In addition to leading tanker operations, the Director of Logistics supports other divisions utilizing vehicles for deliveries and service. The position works closely with the Safety Department, Plant Operations, and Corporate Leadership to build a strong safety culture, improve delivery reliability, and position C&S Chemicals as a best-in-class logistics operator. The ideal candidate is an experienced logistics leader with deep knowledge of DOT compliance, fleet management, and operational leadership in a fast-paced, growing organization. Your key duties will include: Provide strategic leadership for logistics and fleet operations. Manage P&L responsibility for the logistics division. Oversee acquisition, utilization, and lifecycle management of fleet assets. Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards. Partner with Safety, Plant Operations, and executive leadership. Lead insurance, claims management, and risk mitigation efforts. Develop and monitor KPIs related to safety, cost control, and asset utilization. Drive continuous improvement and standardization initiatives.
