Anesthesiology - Cardiac Physician

Cardiac Anesthesia Physician needed in CA Join a 4 physician Anesthesia group, wanting to add one more due to growth. This facility performs over 400 open cardiac cases per year, they have a structural heart and EP in cardiology program. The Physicians cover thoracic and major vascular and it is all adults (no peds) 400+ cases pertaining only to cardiopulmonary bypass cases, split between 4 anesthesiologists, Hybrid Room plus 2 cardiac OR s and 3 DaVinci s. The group pays for malpractice insurance, but most use (Norcal) they have great coverage and service and great rates. Should the Physician have an interest in teaching there is a Family Medicine Residency based at this facility however they do not have an Anesthesia Residency. Typical Work Week Schedule: OR Schedule: Call every 3 to 4th (1/4) nights: Call one weekend per month: Call is from home, usually quite only cover very specific cardiac trauma other groups most trauma. All cases are distributed by rules, no internal competition, Cardiac Fellowship needed. Peri Operative Exams (passed) Advanced PTE Exam; Anesthesia BC/BE; Opportunities: Critical Care of BC/BE; The Vacation/Benefits: 9 weeks off minimum, Income range is $500K-$550K depending on how many vacation weeks taken off. The group is flexible, averaging around 10-11 vacation weeks off plus or minus a week. This is a 1099 employment model. No equity in practice, no partnership track.
