Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Morgantown, WV Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,110 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position ID: 76293382 Shift: 12H Days Weekend Dayshift 7am-730pm, Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday Description: Unit BACKGROUND HITS NEED TO BE DISCLOSED AT TIME OF SUBMISSION.Unit6 WEST - Neuro # of beds20 beds (14 floor) for Floor patients"Required Certifications"BLS and NIHSS is required, ACLS is preferred NIHSS needs to be in hand at time of submission. (Added NIHSS Requirement on 7/18/2025 per Sara Reece request)NOTE: This unit does not have to be stepdown RN's"Common diagnoses/Types of patientsNeurosciences, DBS (Deep Brain Stimulators), Stroke, Seizures, Surgical/PostOp Spines, Neurological DisordersExperience or 'Must have' skills: EPIC, Need to have overall strong Neuro experience. proficiency and frequency with G-tubes.. NIHSS in hand at time of submission. Recent Epic experience is required (added 7/8/2025. MS) Are RNs required to titrate drips?Titration is only done by physician's orders in a step-down setting. There may be some protocols that allow for titration, but they would educate on that. Common titratable &/or set rate dripsAmiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, dopamine, Nipride, Ketamine, Lasix, Bumex, InsulinCharge Nurse/House SupervisorCharge Nurse 24/7 Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios"Yes - 3 per shiftRatios 1:7-10"RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc.)RT is available 24/7 - States they get "floor Vents" - RN's are not required to have vent experience. When there are floor vents they are usually on a set setting. These are managed by RT & physician. If they require changes they will go back to the ICU.Is there tele on this unit? Monitor techs? RNs read strips?There is tele on this unit - per notes from facility RN's do not have to read strips. RNs document that they have verified monitor tech s strip reading in Epic.They would allow 3 shifts in a row but this is not a guarantee. Travelers need to be flexible."Weekend day positions: Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Weekend night positions: Friday, Saturday, and Sundays OR Saturday, Sundays, and Mondays. Nights (weekdays): every other weekend or 3 weekend shifts per schedule (weekend shifts = Saturday and Sundays)Holiday RequirementYes - travelers are expected to work into the holiday rotationIs there a call or standby requirement?Unknown Floating RequirementPossibly to 7E, 7W, 7NE, or 10E first priority.
