Front Desk / Office Assistant Newberry Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Clinic is seeking a reliable, organized, and people-focused Front Desk / Office Assistant to support our busy outpatient physical therapy clinic. This role is essential to keeping the clinic running smoothly and creating a positive experience for our patients. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable multitasking, and communicates professionally and calmly with patients, staff, and insurance providers. Key responsibilities include: Greeting patients and providing a friendly, professional front-office experience Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and responding to patient inquiries Performing insurance pre-authorizations and verifying coverage Entering and maintaining accurate patient and insurance data Collecting patient payments and processing transactions Maintaining organized records and supporting general office operations This position requires frequent task-switching. You may be answering phones, checking in patients, navigating insurance portals, and responding to staff requestssometimes at the same time. Maintaining composure, accuracy, and kindness is essential. This role is not well-suited for someone who prefers slow, highly predictable workflows or minimal public interaction.
