CNC Machinist (2nd Shift Supervisor)

Due to a considerable growth in sales, a full-time, 2nd shift supervisory position has become available. We are seeking a trustworthy, reliable, driven, hardworking individual. The candidate must demonstrate strong integrity, work very well in a team setting, be a problem solver, communicate effectively, have a strong sense of urgency, and strive to meet or exceed customer expectations. Responsibilities/Duties: Supervise the 2nd shift machining department to ensure production goals are metAssess department requirements, capabilities, and capacity to maximize machine utilizationFoster a team environment by playing to team member's strengths, coaching them, and providing them with the tools to be successfulRecognize, encourage and reward exceptional performanceRecognize and address personnel issues effectively with tact and respectSet-up CNC Lathes and MillsAdjust programs as neededOperate CNC Lathes and Mills to produce machined partsMay include operating and setting up multiple machines simultaneouslyUse various measurement equipment to inspect and document machined parts for dimensional accuracy, quality, and adherence to printsPerform first article and in process inspectionsActively contribute to continuous improvementMaintain accuracy within our ERP system (i.e. time tracking, Work Order management, BOM management, etc...)De-burr machined partsBe willing to help the team in any area as needed Keep work area clean and tidy Follow all safety requirementsUtilize required PPE Adhere to all policies laid out in the company handbook
