Clerical Aide NYC Parks is the steward of more than 30,000 acres of land 14 percent of New York City including more than 5,000 individual properties ranging from Coney Island Beach and Central Park to community gardens and Greenstreets. We operate more than 800 athletic fields and nearly 1,000 playgrounds, 1,800 basketball courts, 550 tennis courts, 65 public pools, 51 recreational facilities, 15 nature centers, 14 golf courses and 14 miles of beaches. We care for 1,200 monuments and 23 historic house museums. We look after 660,000 street trees, and five million more in parks. We are New York City's principal providers of recreational and athletic facilities and programs. We are home to free concerts, world-class sports events, and cultural festivals. Major Responsibilities - Under supervision, with latitude for independent judgment, perform moderately difficult and responsible clerical work. - Perform data entry into computer programs, ensuring that all data is entered accurately, and information is organized and easily retrievable. - Provide general office support. Prepare reports, log correspondence, verify information and track phone calls. Process and route correspondence to the appropriate staff. - Maintain accurate and current filing system. - Prepare various reports and briefings using data and information supplied by managers and supervisors. - Track, distribute, compose, and edit correspondence to constituents and other agencies to meet Agency deadlines. - Perform clerical work in relation to records, files, invoices and reports. - Identify and communicate emerging issues to supervisor. Work Location: Randall's Island, Manhattan Duration: April 13, 2026 to October 10, 2026 Fees: Hired candidates will be subject to a processing fee of $54.00. Minimum Qualifications Qualification Requirements There are no formal education or experience requirements for this position. Preferred Skills 1. College Degree 2. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. 3. Excellent communication, customer service, analytical and writing skills. 4. Knowledge of Asset Management Parks System (AMPS) or ability to learn. 5. Ability to work flexible hours, nights and weekends as needed. 6.
