The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for handling confidential information, answering payroll-related inquiries, and supporting the payroll team with day-to-day operations.Key Responsibilities:Process and enter timesheets, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions in the payroll systemEnsure payroll transactions are completed accurately and on scheduleVerify employee data and resolve inconsistencies or errors in payroll documentsMaintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local lawsAssist with preparation of payroll reports for management, accounting, and auditing purposesAnswer employee questions regarding payroll, deductions, and timesheetsCollaborate with Human Resources and Accounting to update employee information and resolve payroll discrepanciesPrepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposit notificationsMaintain confidentiality of payroll and employee informationStay current on changes in payroll laws and regulationsRequired Skills & Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred1+ year of payroll, accounting, or administrative experience preferredKnowledge of payroll software (e.g., NetSuite, UKG)Microsoft Office Suite, specifically ExcelStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time management skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as a part of a teamWork Environment:Hybrid, or remote.
