Accounting Assistant $26 - $28 / Hour Location: Charlotte, North Carolina Accounting & Finance Contract to hire LHH is assisting a client in south Charlotte with their need for a contract to hire Accounting Assistant. This is a fully onsite opportunity with a well established, family-oriented organization. Responsibilities Post and apply daily cash receipts, including checks, ACH, and wire payments Prepare daily deposit reconciliations and ensure accuracy in all AR entries Monitor aging reports and perform customer follow-up on outstanding invoices (collections) as needed Research and resolve customer billing issues and payment discrepancies Process vendor invoices and match to purchase orders or approvals Assist with weekly check/ACH runs Resolve vendor inquiries related to payments or statements Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist with balance sheet account reconciliations Support month-end close by gathering documentation and preparing assigned reconciliations Assist with ad hoc accounting projects as needed Qualifications: 13+ years of experience in AR, AP, or general accounting support Strong attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency in Excel and standard accounting software Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, onsite team environment Pay Details: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour Search managed by: Emma Claris Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
