Job Description

The Director of Quality and Compliance Training is a pivotal leader within the Learning Center of Excellence in Global Quality. This dynamic role focuses on crafting and implementing comprehensive training strategies across various functions, including Commercial, Finance, HR, Legal, and other General & Administrative areas. The successful candidate will ensure that learning initiatives enhance business performance, comply with corporate standards, and cultivate a culture of ongoing development within the organization. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Governance Define and lead the innovative global training strategy that aligns with corporate objectives and quality principles. Establish effective governance frameworks for training compliance and operational excellence, crafting policies and SOPs. Advise senior leadership on the latest learning trends, capability-building strategies, and risk management approaches. Program Development & Delivery Design and oversee impactful training programs for Commercial and G&A functions, ensuring content is relevant and scalable. Implement cutting-edge learning solutions that incorporate adult learning principles, digital platforms, and blended learning approaches. Align training material with corporate standards to support organizational priorities effectively. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration Collaborate with functional leaders, HR, and Quality teams to identify learning needs and sync initiatives with business objectives. Serve as a trusted advisor on training effectiveness and workforce capability enhancement to senior leadership. Continuous Improvement & Analytics Develop KPIs and utilize data analytics to evaluate training effectiveness and guide refinements. Remain updated with industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously enhance learning offerings. Operational Oversight Work closely with training operations teams to ensure efficient training delivery and compliance monitoring. Oversee vendor relationships for training services and technology solutions. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree in Life Sciences, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field is preferred. 10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, particularly with designing and implementing global training programs. A proven history of managing successful global training initiatives and cross-functional teams. Strong comprehension of R&D functions and the associated regulatory landscape (GxP, ICH, FDA, EMA, etc.). Expertise in designing and delivering engaging learning programs grounded in adult learning principles. Experience with learning technologies (such as LMS, virtual learning platforms) and data-driven training methods. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills. Empowered Development: Actively engage in professional growth as a crucial business priority. The compensation range for this role is $164,530.00 - $245,985.00, along with an incentive opportunity. This range reflects a typical starting pay level for candidates in the role across the United States, though actual pay may be influenced by the candidate’s experience, specific skills, and internal comparisons.
