Job Description Finance Manager, Compute - Workload Optimization M2 Location: US Remote ABOUT THE JOB As part of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), one of the fastest-growing divisions in Oracle, the OCI Finance team is vital for fostering growth. The Workload Health team oversees financial planning and modeling specific to certain product families within the OCI ecosystem, optimizing business economics while rapidly scaling. As a Finance Manager in this role, you will be a strategic partner to product and engineering teams, taking full ownership of the compute portfolio. You will lead a small team, managing complex financial projects throughout the product lifecycle. Key responsibilities include guiding financial decision-making, refining financial models, and delivering actionable insights to boost business results. The ideal candidate should possess a strong data-driven orientation, advanced modeling skills, and the ability to handle both strategic high-level insights and detailed operational specifics. This role is designed for someone who excels in dynamic environments and collaborates effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams across the organization. Main Responsibilities include: Serve as a trusted advisor to engineering by partnering closely with engineering leadership to deliver financial insights and guidance, ensuring synchronization between product development and financial objectives. Lead financial management for new and existing compute products by overseeing financial analysis throughout the Compute Portfolio, providing insights for informed business decisions and product enhancements. Optimize gross margin by driving margin improvements across the compute portfolio, evaluating pricing, cost structures, operational efficiencies, and other key factors. Align business strategy with financial reporting by translating strategic goals into actionable financial reports, utilizing KPIs and goal-setting metrics to assess success across various compute offerings, in partnership with executive leaders. Influence investment decisions through thorough financial analysis, ensuring that these decisions align with overall strategic objectives. Contribute to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring that investments in compute product capacity are timely and appropriately aligned with business requirements. Drive the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures that support operational goals for the compute product portfolio and improve overall business performance. Manage and cultivate a high-performing team of finance professionals. PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, with over 12 years of relevant finance experience; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus. Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring teams, including guiding analysts and promoting professional development. Familiarity with cloud technology and infrastructure; prior experience supporting engineering teams is highly advantageous. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various functions including engineering, finance, supply chain, and operations at all organizational levels. Results-oriented mindset with a history of translating strategic ideas into practical, measurable outcomes. A data-driven approach, showcasing a track record of using financial insights to guide strategic decisions. Strong strategic partnership and influencing abilities, with skills in building meaningful relationships and influencing stakeholders without direct authority. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, effectively managing ambiguity and progressing initiatives with minimal guidance. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on both high-level strategy and intricate details. Self-starter with a proactive work ethic, capable of multitasking, prioritizing, and leading key initiatives. Salary Range and Benefits: Hiring Range in USD: $97,500 - $199,500 per annum, potential eligibility for bonuses and equity.
