As a Quality Inspector, you will play a vital role in conducting thorough inspections of aerospace and defense components throughout various stages, including incoming, in-process, and final inspections. Your meticulous attention to detail will ensure that every part meets engineering specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards before shipment. Benefits and Highlights: Quarterly profit-sharing bonus; eligible upon hire Generous paid time off 401(k) plan with company match Paid holidays Tuition and professional development reimbursement Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Optional HSA with company contribution Short-term and long-term disability, plus life insurance at no cost Limitless opportunities for professional growth Your Responsibilities Will Include: Inspecting raw materials, castings, forgings, and customer-supplied products upon receipt Verifying material certifications, traceability, and purchase order requirements Identifying and documenting non-conforming materials, initiating NCRs as needed Promptly communicating issues to Quality, Engineering, and Purchasing departments Conducting in-process inspections at defined operations to validate dimensional and visual standards Collaborating closely with machinists and programmers to resolve issues proactively Verifying first article setups and ensuring critical characteristics are met Documenting inspection results in accordance with shop procedures and customer specifications Performing final inspections of completed parts before they are shipped Confirming drawing compliance, revision levels, and adhering to special process requirements Reviewing routers, inspection records, and certifications to ensure completeness Approving parts for shipment while ensuring proper identification and packaging Interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications accurately Utilizing precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, CMM, or optical systems, if applicable) Maintaining accurate inspection records in ERP or quality systems Supporting AS9100 and customer audit activities as required Adhering to all safety, quality, and configuration control protocols Key Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of inspection experience in a precision machining or aerospace environment Strong capability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T Experience in incoming, in-process, and final inspection practices Proficient in using standard mechanical inspection tools Familiarity with aerospace documentation and traceability requirements Ability to work independently while effectively communicating with production teams Experience in a prototype or R&D machine shop environment is advantageous Basic knowledge of airfoil features is a plus, but not required Experience with CNC-machined and EDM components Basic CMM operation or optical inspection experience preferred Understanding of AS9100, Nadcap flow-down, or prime customer requirements is beneficial Compensation: $27 - $36 Hourly Wage
