Position Overview Meritus Solutions Group is seeking Unarmed Security Officers (Guard Escorts) to support U.S. Naval infrastructure operations at Naval Base Kitsap (NBK). Guard Escorts play a critical role in maintaining installation security by escorting contractors and visitors who do not possess the appropriate security credentials while they perform work within restricted areas of the installation. Escorts ensure all personnel comply with Navy security procedures and force protection protocols. This position requires professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a structured government security environment. Key Responsibilities Escort contractors and visitors who require access to restricted areas within Naval Base Kitsap. Ensure escorted personnel comply with all Navy installation security regulations and force protection requirements. Maintain visual contact and accountability of all escorted personnel at all times. Monitor work activities to ensure compliance with installation security policies. Prevent unauthorized access to controlled areas. Report security concerns, incidents, or suspicious activity immediately to supervisory personnel. Maintain accurate logs and written reports when required. Follow all federal, installation, and company security procedures. Maintain professional communication with military personnel, contractors, and installation staff. Minimum RequirementsMust be a U.S. Citizen Must be at least 18 years of age Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (company assistance available) Must pass a comprehensive background investigation Must pass a drug screening Must be able to speak, read, and write English clearly, including the ability to complete written reports No prior security experience required Education High School Diploma or GED required DD214 (if prior military service) Certifications Valid Driver's License required Pay & Compensation Unarmed Guard Pay Rate: $23.89 per hour (Effective October 1, 2025) Swing shift differential pay = $.40 per hour Mid Shift differential pay = $1.00 per hour Health & Welfare: $5.50 per hour (Effective October 1, 2025) Health & Welfare benefits are provided in accordance with applicable federal contract requirements.
