Position Type: Teacher/PPS/Work Based Learning Coordinator Date Posted: 3/11/2026 Location: Multiple Locations - RSP Date Available: 05/01/2026 Closing Date: 04/20/2026 DESCRIPTION: The Nassau BOCES Department of Regional Schools & Instructional Programs (RSIP) is seeking a certified and experienced Work-Based Learning (WBL) Coordinator. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting high school students by coordinating internships placements, job shadowing opportunities, and monitoring required work-based learning hours. The candidate must be skilled in instructing students on resume writing, interview techniques, and essential workplace readiness skills. In addition, they will contribute to the development and expansion of the district's Industry Advisory Board and serve as a vital member of RSIP WBL team. Currently, this position will be shared between two school districts in Nassau County. The Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coordinating and monitoring student placements in internships and job shadowing experiences Instructing students in job readiness skills, including resume preparation, interview techniques and workplace expectations Maintaining accurate records of student hours and placement in compliance with program requirements Collaborating with local industry partners and contribute to the growth of the school district's Industry Advisory Board Travel as needed to various schools, businesses, and partner sites across Nassau County REQUIREMENTS:New York State Education Department (NYSED) Certification: Grades 7-12 or All Grades Subject Area, or School Counselor with a Coordinator of Work- Based Learning Programs Extension Ability to travel throughout Nassau County SALARY: As per labor contract Non-Discrimination Statement The Nassau BOCES offers employment and educational opportunities without regard to age, color, creed, disability, familial status, gender, gender expression, gender identity, marital status, military/veteran status, national origin, predisposing genetic characteristics, race, religion (including religious practice and/or expression), sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical condition), sexual orientation or victim of domestic violence status.
