Job Description We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Senior Production Manager/Technical Lead with extensive experience in Oracle Database, particularly in the financial or banking sectors. Your expertise with OCI and Golden Gate (Microservices) will be critical in maintaining and enhancing the availability, performance, and reliability of our enterprise-grade database environments. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead technical initiatives and foster strong relationships with our most important clients. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Production Management & Operations Oversee the daily operations for mission-critical customer environments, ensuring they run smoothly. Guarantee continuous database availability and optimal performance across all platforms. Manage incident responses, conduct root-cause analyses, and drive resolutions for complex technical issues. Establish, monitor, and report on key operational metrics and service-level agreements (SLAs). Database & Golden Gate Expertise Design and implement high-availability database solutions using Oracle and related technologies. Lead the configuration, administration, and monitoring of Golden Gate microservices for data replication and integration. Provide advanced troubleshooting and optimization for database and replication environments. Develop and enforce best practices for database security, backup, recovery, performance, and data integrity. Technical Leadership Be the primary escalation point for complex and urgent technical issues. Mentor team members on advanced database topics and promote a culture of technical excellence. Encourage knowledge sharing and adherence to industry best practices among the team. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align technical solutions with business and customer needs. Customer Management Act as the trusted technical advisor to key clients, maintaining proactive communication about ongoing operations, risks, and improvement opportunities. Collaborate with customer teams to plan maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and other initiatives. Translate customer business needs into effective technical solutions, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal operational impact. Participate in customer meetings, performance reviews, and planning sessions as a subject matter expert. AI Automation and Tooling Design and implement AI-driven automation and monitoring solutions to enhance operational efficiency and incident responses. Evaluate and integrate automation tools and frameworks to support database and replication processes. Lead the adoption of AI and automation best practices within the team, focusing on continuous service improvement. Stay current with emerging AI technologies in database management and recommend operational enhancements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 10+ years of experience in database administration, with a strong emphasis on Oracle technologies and preferably in financial or banking environments. Extensive hands-on experience with Golden Gate (Microservices), including implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Proven track record of leading production support teams in high-availability, enterprise contexts. Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, incident and problem management methodologies. Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) and automation frameworks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities. Fluency in English. The salary range for this position is from $38.03 to $76.06 per hour; from $79,100 to $158,200 annually. Candidates should note that pay may be commensurate with experience and specific market conditions.
