Industrial Maintenance Specialist

Description The Industrial Maintenance Specialist will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility through machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance services. $750 HIRING BONUS! Job Functions Ensure optimal operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by executing preventive maintenance on motors, conveyor systems, production, and utility machines according to diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications. Deliver emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operational hours and conduct scheduled maintenance as equipment becomes available. Employ mechanical skills, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair for packaging, production, and utility machines. Identify the sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and utilizing precision measuring and testing instruments. Remove defective or damaged parts, employing hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools. Adjust functional parts of machines and control instruments using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. Fabricate repair parts utilizing machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs as needed. Collaborate with Engineering on new projects and process improvement activities. Optimize maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently to accomplish tasks. Maintain effective communication within work teams by documenting and sharing actions, issues, and opportunities. Ensure a safe and clean working environment in compliance with established procedures, rules, and regulations. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and possess the dexterity to assess equipment in challenging positions or locations. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Technical training beyond high school. Over 7 years of relevant experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting. Experience in food manufacturing is preferred but not mandatory.
