UI/UX Designer

Job Title: UI/UX Designer Location: Winston-Salem, NC Type: Contract Max Pay Rate: $54/hr Role Overview Seeking a UI/UX Designer to support the design and improvement of portfolio management platforms used across Unified Managed Account (UMA) and Separately Managed Account (SMA) environments. This role focuses on creating intuitive user interfaces that support investment workflows such as portfolio management, trading, rebalancing, and operational processes. The designer will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and operations teams to translate complex financial workflows into user-friendly digital experiences. Key ResponsibilitiesUI/UX Design Design intuitive user interfaces for portfolio management, trading, and operational workflows Create wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes using Figma Ensure designs align with enterprise design systems and accessibility standards Product & Engineering Collaboration Partner with Product Managers, Product Owners, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into UI solutions Convert product requirements into user stories and design acceptance criteria Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews Workflow & Process Design Document current and future state workflows and process maps Identify usability challenges and workflow inefficiencies Propose design improvements aligned with product strategy Stakeholder Engagement Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate feedback Ensure designs align with operational, technical, and regulatory requirements typical of financial services platforms Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in UI/UX, Product Design, or related roles Experience designing enterprise or platform-based applications Proficiency with Figma for UI design and prototyping Experience using Jira for Agile workflow and backlog management Strong experience with workflow mapping and process design Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development environments Preferred Qualifications Experience with Portfolio Management, Investment Operations, UMA, or SMA platforms Experience working within financial services or wealth management environments Familiarity with enterprise design systems and component-based UI frameworks Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices Experience supporting large-scale product or platform initiatives
