Assistant Project Manager - Retail/Commercial GC

Job Description Assist with estimating, scheduling, buyout, procurement, and cost tracking. Support the Project Manager on daytoday project operations for both TI and groundup projects. Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation. Coordinate between field teams, subcontractors, architects, and owners. Conduct periodic jobsite visits (including travel to Texas up to 1-3 times per month). Maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and professional followup. Help ensure project quality, safety, and timely execution. Work closely with leadership to gain a full 360degree understanding of GC operations. The Successful Applicant A successful Assistant Project Manager - Retail/Commercial GC should have: 1-2 years of experience with a General Contractor (TI or groundup). Strong interest in commercial, medical office, and retail construction. Experience with estimating, scheduling, or project controls is valuable. Construction management degree or relevant construction experience preferred. Passion for the industry, strong work ethic, and genuine care for relationships. Techsavvy and organized, with ability to manage documentation effectively. Stable job history, culture fit and commitment are highly important. Willingness to travel 1-3 times per month (typically short trips). Must be based in or willing to relocate to Greenville, SC.
