FLSA Status: Exempt,Salaried General Purpose: Assistant Vice President of Real Estate Strategy & Facilities Operations Molloy University seeks a strategic and forward-thinking leader to serve as Assistant Vice President of Real Estate Strategy & Facilities Operations, a newly elevated role at the center of the University's next phase of growth and transformation. As Molloy continues to expand its academic programs, enrollment footprint, and community impact, the University is focused on re-imagining how its physical campus and real estate assets can best support long-term institutional goals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and execute a creative, mission-aligned campus master plan that advances growth, innovation, and student success while preserving Molloy's strong sense of community and identity. The AVP will serve as the University's Primary strategist and operational steward of campus facilities and real estate assets, leading facilities operations while also shaping real estate strategy, capital planning, and expansion opportunities. Working closely with the President, CFO, Cabinet, and campus stakeholders, the AVP will translate academic vision and enrollment growth into thoughtful, financially responsible space solutions-whether through renovation, new development, partnerships, or optimization of existing assets. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic Real Estate & Campus Planning Lead the strategic management of the University's real estate portfolio, including owned and leased properties. Develop long-range campus master planning aligned with academic priorities and enrollment growth. Identify and evaluate opportunities for campus expansion, redevelopment, partnerships, and space optimization. Facilities Operations & Infrastructure Leadership Provide executive oversight of campus facilities operations including maintenance, custodial services, grounds, utilities, and environmental and safety compliance. Ensure operational reliability, safe campus conditions, and responsive service delivery across all University facilities in a 24/7 operational environment. Direct workforce planning, staffing, and operational budgets for facilities teams. Capital Projects & Construction Management Oversee planning, design, and construction of capital projects including renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and new development. Establish design standards and ensure projects meet sustainability goals, accessibility requirements, and regulatory compliance. Financial & Administrative Management Manage facilities operating budgets and capital programs, ensuring responsible stewardship of University resources. Oversee vendor partnerships, service contracts, procurement, and facilities management systems. Leadership & Collaboration Provide strategic leadership and supervision for the Real Estate and Facilities team, fostering a collaborative and service-oriented culture. Partner with academic and administrative leaders to ensure campus facilities effectively support teaching, research, and student life. Serve as a liaison with municipal agencies, community partners, and utilities, and provide updates to senior leadership on capital planning and campus development initiatives. Required Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering, Architecture or related field. Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in facilities management, real estate strategy, campus planning, construction management, or a related field. Demonstrated experience leading facilities operations, capital projects, or real estate portfolios in complex organizations. Proven leadership ability with experience managing multidisciplinary teams and budgets. Strong collaboration, communication, and strategic planning skills. Salary Information When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring annual salary for this position is between $150,000 to $190,000. This annual salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
