Job Description

Join a healthcare team seeking experienced Operating Room Nurses specializing in Orthopedics. This contract opportunity is based in the Morris area of Illinois, offering full-time hours and valuable hands-on exposure to advanced surgical techniques. Location: Morris, IL, a welcoming community known for its rich history and tranquil suburban environment. Residents enjoy easy access to nearby urban centers while appreciating a close-knit atmosphere with excellent local amenities. Position Details: Contract length: 8 weeks Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week Shifts: 8-hour days starting at 06:30 or 08:30 Call requirements: 6-8 days per month including one 2-day weekend call, with a 60-minute response time Biweekly payroll system Qualifications and Desired Experience: Certification by NBSTSA required BLS certification required Neuro experience mandatory Recent reference (within the last year) and updated resume necessary for submission Proven skills in Orthopedics, specifically total joint replacements (knees, hips, shoulders), scope procedures, ORIF fractures, and robotic-assisted surgeries (Mako robot) Additional surgical experience in ortho-spine, ENT, gynecology, general surgery, and podiatry Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care in the Operating Room, focusing on complex orthopedic and related surgeries Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes Participate in on-call rotation as per schedule Maintain certifications and documentation as required by facility regulations This contract role offers a dynamic environment with exposure to cutting-edge technology and diverse surgical cases.
