Title: Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineer Status: Full-Time Location: Rochester, New York, United States Relocation: Relocation assistance available Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 Bonus: Not eligible Visa Support: Not available Senior Specialist, Electrical Engineer n established organization in the aerospace and defense technology sector is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering Specialist to support complex communication products used in demanding operational environments. This position focuses on solving technical challenges related to analog, digital, and RF electronic systems. The selected engineer will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to investigate product issues, perform technical analysis, and implement solutions that improve performance, reliability, and production yield. You will play a key role throughout the product lifecycle, from troubleshooting production hardware to supporting the successful launch of new technologies. Key Responsibilities Monitor manufacturing performance and investigate production failures to determine root causes. Troubleshoot electronic assemblies, boards, and modules down to the component level. nalyze and support analog, digital, and RF circuit designs. Conduct experiments and simulations to validate design improvements and corrective actions. Identify opportunities to enhance manufacturing processes, testing procedures, and product reliability. ddress component shortages by identifying alternate parts and validating their performance. Support the introduction of new products by assisting with prototype troubleshooting and production readiness. Partner with quality and supply chain teams to resolve material or component discrepancies. Provide technical mentorship and troubleshooting guidance to technicians and junior engineers. Lead technical investigations and coordinate engineering tasks when necessary. Essential Skills Strong troubleshooting skills for analog and digital electronics at the component level Experience performing circuit analysis and simulation bility to design and execute engineering experiments and evaluate results Proficiency with laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and signal generators bility to collaborate across multiple engineering and operations teams in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and analytical skills bility to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 6+ years of relevant experience, OR Master's degree with 4+ years of related experience, OR 10+ years of professional electrical engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
