As an Electrical Facilities Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' semiconductor-based manufacturing projects. Collaborating closely with our clients and team members, you'll engage in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, addressing projects varying in size and complexity. Your responsibilities will include assessing systems, consulting with system owners, and analyzing scope requests from stakeholders. You will directly interact with clients, contractors, and on-site personnel to create comprehensive design, development, and evaluation documents, including Basis of Design (BOD) and Scope of Work (SOW) documents. Your role will extend to overseeing engineering and construction for facility power distribution systems (up to 13.8kV), as well as grounding, lighting, emergency generation systems, life safety systems, and fire alarms. This includes both retrofitting existing systems and installing new ones. Bring your curiosity, multitasking talents, and exceptional organizational skills. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited university Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems, including distribution Thorough understanding of electrical requirements per NFPA codes and related standards Ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational abilities, prioritization, and leadership experience Solid knowledge of specifications and selection procedures for electrical equipment Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications Experience in reviewing vendor submittal packages Field experience with subcontractors and construction personnel Preferred Qualifications: EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure 5 years of experience in facility engineering Knowledge of instrumentation and controls design deliverables Experience with control panel design, including UL508A requirements Proficient with electrical modeling software (e.g., SKM Power Tools, ETap) Proficient in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Forward-thinking, eager to learn, and contribute innovative ideas Passionate about the intersection of buildings and construction Other Requirements: This position is based on-site at our client's location in Wilton, CT. Relocation assistance is available, along with a sign-on bonus! Candidates must be able to commute Monday through Friday during standard business hours (approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM), with some flexibility. Physical Requirements: The role includes field visits and walking at an active construction site. Candidates should be able to walk long distances, sit or stand for extended periods, bend, twist, climb ladders, work in small spaces, and lift up to 25 lbs.
