We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic Human Resources Generalist (Bilingual Spanish) to join our growing New York Team! Responsibilities: Serve as a primary HR point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and workplace issues across multiple shifts and departments. Partner with managers and supervisors to address performance concerns and implement corrective action plans. Conduct investigations into employee complaints and workplace concerns for non-management employees. Support employee engagement initiatives and assist with culture-building programs across the operation. Assist with grievance procedures and help maintain positive labor relations in union and non-union environments. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure HRIS data integrity. Manage I-9 verification and E-Verify compliance for all employees. Prepare and support required compliance reporting (EEO, OSHA, wage and hour). Process employee separations including documentation for terminations, no-call/no-show cases, and voluntary resignations. Support leave of absence administration and the ADA interactive process in partnership with third-party administrators. Assist with workers' compensation claims and coordinate return-to-work programs. Support performance management processes, including performance reviews and merit increase recommendations. Partner with the Safety team to investigate workplace incidents and near-misses. Support development and delivery of safety training programs. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, food safety standards, and workplace safety procedures. Coordinate drug and alcohol testing programs in compliance with DOT regulations. Support injury prevention initiatives, ergonomic assessments, and workplace risk reduction efforts. Support aviation and airline catering compliance requirements including TSA, FAA, and USDA regulations where applicable. Provide HR support within a fast-paced 24/7 operational environment. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 3-5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience. Experience in food service, hospitality, manufacturing, or other high-volume operational environments preferred. Experience working in unionized environments strongly preferred. Knowledge of aviation or airline catering operations is a plus. SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred. Proficiency in HRIS systems such as Workday, ADP, BambooHR, or similar platforms. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools. Solid understanding of employment law, HR compliance, and workplace regulations. Strong knowledge of operational HR in fast-paced, 24/7 environments. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage a diverse workforce. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for complex employee relations matters. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
