CNC Machine operator

Our client, a manufacturing industry leader, is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join their team. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: CNC Machine Operator Location: EAST MOLINE, IL Pay Range: $22 Shift: What's the Job? Operate CNC machines including Bridgeports, manual lathes, CNC lathes, and mills to produce precision parts. Perform offsets, machine setup, programming, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal machine performance. Read and utilize measurement tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers for quality control. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Follow safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all team members. What's Needed? • Working knowledge of, and actual experience working with, various measuring instruments such as tape measures, dial calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauge blocks and surface gauges. • Knowledge of machine shop mathematics and CNC programming • Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals. • Abilities: Standing, bending, some moderate to heavy lifting and able to do long hours of repetitive work. • Must be able to understand and complete departmental paperwork. • Teamwork-oriented • Quality conscious • Accurate and detail oriented. • Experience working with hand tools, drills and sanders. • Must be trained in the proper use of other assembly line equipment including forklifts, overhead hoists, and pallet jacks.
