Team Red Dog is seeking a Senior Social Media Manager - Executive & Developer Communications (Gaming) to support our client, a global digital experience innovator in the gaming industry. In this role, you will help senior leaders and game developers authentically engage with one of the world's most passionate gaming communities by shaping social media storytelling, building trusted online voices, and fostering meaningful conversations across major social platforms. Top Required Skills (Must Haves): Deep expertise in social media platforms and online communities (X, LinkedIn, Instagram and similar platforms), including understanding how conversations form, evolve, and spread across gaming and developer communities. Strong social copywriting and editorial skills, with the ability to write and edit in the voice of executives, developers, and community leaders while adapting tone for different audiences. Experience interpreting engagement trends, sentiment, and community feedback to provide qualitative insights and recommendations that improve social strategy and engagement. Experience supporting social media presence for high-visibility individuals, including coordinating posts, shaping messaging, and ensuring brand safety and authenticity in online interactions. Opportunity Overview: This role offers the opportunity to work with a highly collaborative marketing and social media team supporting one of the most recognized gaming franchises in the world. You will help executives and developers meaningfully participate in conversations with players, creators, and the broader gaming industry. Rather than focusing on traditional corporate channel marketing, this position centers on enabling authentic voices within the studio to share ideas, insights, and behind-the-scenes perspectives with the global gaming community. The role provides significant creative freedom within established frameworks and the chance to collaborate closely with developers and leadership behind one of the best-selling games of all time. How you will make an impact: • Support executives and developers in maintaining an active and authentic presence on social media platforms including X, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other relevant community channels. • Draft, edit, and refine social media posts in the voice of studio leaders and developers, ensuring content reflects their personality while aligning with studio tone, values, and community standards. • Develop creative content ideas that highlight developer insights, creative processes, leadership perspectives, and behind-the-scenes stories that bring fans closer to the people behind the games. • Coordinate posting cadence and social strategy for individual accounts, balancing planned messaging with real-time participation in relevant conversations. • Monitor engagement and community discussions to surface meaningful feedback, sentiment, and insights for executives, developers, and internal stakeholders. • Collaborate with marketing, communications/PR, community, and game development teams to align social activity with major announcements, franchise moments, and cultural conversations. • Provide guidance to leaders and developers on community interactions and responses while maintaining professionalism, discretion, and brand safety. • Contribute to qualitative reporting and insights that help inform ongoing social media best practices and strategy improvements. The expertise you bring: • 5+ years of experience supporting social media presence for high-visibility individuals, organizations, or teams. • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field. • Strong familiarity with major social platforms and how conversations develop across digital communities. • Experience drafting and managing social content for executives, developers, creators, or community-facing leaders. • Ability to interpret engagement trends, sentiment, and community feedback and translate insights into recommendations. • Proven ability to influence without authority when working with senior leaders and cross-functional partners. • Experience with social media analytics tools such as Sprinklr or native platform analytics is preferred. • Ability to collaborate effectively across marketing, communications, community, and product development teams.
