Audiologist Educational Audiologist | Converse, Texas

A school-based audiologist position is available in the San Antonio, TX area, offering the opportunity to support students primarily at Mission Academy with additional districtwide services. This role requires collaboration with itinerant teachers to provide hearing aid fitting, repair, and audiological troubleshooting across multiple schools. Key Responsibilities: Deliver audiology evaluations and interventions to students in a school setting Fit and repair hearing aids in accordance with state licensing requirements Coordinate with itinerant teachers for districtwide service visits Maintain accurate records and documentation for student caseloads Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to audiology services Qualifications and Experience: Master's degree in Audiology required Current ASHA certification (waiver granted for ASHA-certified individuals) State license to practice audiology and to fit and repair hearing aids Successful passage of required licensing examinations Minimum of 5 years experience in school-based audiology or equivalent Ability to pass standard fingerprinting/background checks for school employment Work Schedule and Location: Part-time position, approximately 15-20 hours per week Preferred workdays are Wednesdays and Thursdays On-site work primarily at Mission Academy with additional travel to other district schools in the San Antonio area This role offers an exceptional opportunity for experienced audiologists to impact student learning and hearing health within an educational setting.
